The commercialization of production technologies in the United States has led to the rise and then strengthening of the country's LNG exports to large consumer markets. However, the presence of serious competitors such as Iran, Russia and Qatar, as well as Turkey's efforts to become an energy hub for Iranian and Russian exports to Europe, at the same time as Ankara's activation of the gas fields of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, has caused the United States to design a multi-layered game to maintain its export market. This article, using data from reliable statistical sources, attempts to prove the rise in production and exports of liquefied natural gas as the first assumption, and then, while examining the sanctions imposed by the United States against Russia and Iran in the energy sector, examines the obstacles created for Turkey in the EastMed project and the possible sanctions on projects that have the potential to turn Turkey into an energy hub. The results of this study show that the United States has increased shale gas production by developing technology and has weakened competitors by imposing sanctions and managing regional projects and has dominated the European gas market.
